Consultation has concluded

The Draft Arts and Culture Strategic Plan was placed on public exhibition in early 2015, following consultation including workshops and interviews in late 2014. The final endorsed plan can be viewed here.

We listened to what the community had to say and pulled all of the ideas into our plan. Did we get it right? Now is your chance to read through the draft and provide us with feedback.

  • Arts and Culture Plan has been adopted by Council

    The final version of the Arts and Culture Strategic Plan 2015 - 2031 was approved by Council on 24 June 2015. Southern Highlands Inspired! is now the blueprint for the future of arts and culture in the Southern Highlands.

    The next step is to start implementing the goals and strategies by developing the first 2-3 year Action Plan. This will be developed in consultation with Council’s Arts and Culture Committee.


    Special thanks all the people who had their say in the workshops, surveys and other forums and provided valuable feedback to ensure the Plan reflected the aspirations of our community.

  • First Draft of Arts and Culture Strategy completed

    The First Draft of Southern Highlands Inspired! the Arts and Culture Strategy for the Wingecarribee Shire has now been completed. The community workshops and surveys provided a great deal of valuable information which has been used in drafting the Strategy. The Draft follows the themes in the Community Strategic Plan - Leadership, People, Places, Environment, Economy - but with specific goals relating to arts and culture.

    The Draft is now on public exhibition.
