Assets Team

Consultation has concluded

Do you live in the Balmoral area? How do you access drinking water? Would an extension of Council's town water service help you?

As part of our ongoing work in improving the services we deliver, Council is seeking feedback from the community about the possible introduction of a water supply service to Balmoral.

Our staff have identified a number of villages which may wish to connect to a reliable water service in the next 10 to 20 years and are commencing the very early and tentative stages of community consultation to determine whether Council should commence design work or just keep it listed as a possibility in the distant future.

You're invited to provide your opinions and assist us in determining the level of interest in a town water scheme.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

  • Check out the information kit in the Document Library
  • Complete the survey by 20 February 2015

After the closing date a council report will be created recommending a course of action for the Balmoral Water Supply Scheme. Community feedback will be included in this report and will be a determining factor. If you have any further questions about the survey or the proposed services please use the 'Ask a Question' tool below or call the Water and Sewer Asset team on 4868 0888.

Council assures complete confidentiality with regard to personal information and survey responses will remain anonymous when reported to Council.

Some council members attended a meeting at the Balmoral Hall between 6:30PM and 7:30PM on Tuesday 27 January 2015 to answer general questions relating to the project. Feedback was given that some residents who did not receive surveys were still interested in giving their opinion on the project. As such, a second round of mailing is in progress and the due date has been extended from Friday 6 February 2015.

RECOMMENDED READING: An information kit has been prepared which explains fees and charges involved, details the proposed service and answers frequently asked questions. Please read this before completing the survey.

NOTE: Only one survey may be completed for each property.
