Preliminary designs

Preliminary designs for the Berrima Road Deviation Project are expected to be placed on public exhibition by mid-year.

The project will see Berrima Road diverted from the existing level crossing near the Boral Cement Works to a bridge over the train line further east. The existing T-junction intersection at Berrima Road and Taylor Avenue and the bend on the approach to the crossing from Moss Vale will also be removed from the route. These will be replaced with a B-triple truck capacity roundabout.

The $9.2 million upgrade is the latest development in the $82 million Moss Vale Enterprise Corridor scheme designed to provide heavy transport with safer and more efficient access to our Shire. $4.6 million for the funding of the Deviation Project was secured via the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development’s National Stronger Regions Funds.
