Have your say about the Cemetery Policy

Council is seeking feedback on a draft ‘Cemetery Policy’.

The draft policy details how Council proposes to sustainably manage, maintain and operate the Shire’s public cemeteries while ensuring compliance with current legislation.

This is an important service that needs to be carried out as sensitively as possible so the draft policy provides guidelines for safe, consistent and socially acceptable standards for people visiting and working at Council-managed cemeteries.

It even covers issues such as the planting of memorial trees and the placing of tributes.

Take a look and let us know what you think.
