Community Engagement Strategy and Policy

THIS CONSULTATION HAS NOW CONCLUDED. Council will consider submissions received prior to adopting final versions of the draft documents.

Over the past few years, Wingecarribee Shire Council has actively worked to improve the way we consult and engage with the community about upcoming projects but it is time to put some strategic documents in place to guide and improve these processes. We recently worked with a consultant to evaluate our current practices, relationships, messages and long-term goals to prepare a framework for resident involvement in decision making.

It's now your turn to have a say about how we involve the community in our decision making processes.

Please take a look at the two draft documents currently on exhibition:

There are a number of ways to let us know what you think or ask a question:
  1. Complete a feedback form that no-one else will see
  2. Share your thoughts with others by writing in the suggestion box
  3. Use the 'Ask a Question' tab to do just that or read the answers we have already provided
  4. Give our Community Engagement Coordinator a call on (02) 4868 0861 or email engagement@wsc.nsw.gov.au
To have a say about how Council communicates, please take a look at our draft Communication Strategy, which is also on exhibition until 14 July 2014.
