You are invited to make a submission on the draft Conservation Management Plans for the Mittagong War Memorial Clock Tower and Winifred West Park.

Council had engaged a specialist heritage consultant to prepare Draft Conservation Management Plans (CMPs) for the Mittagong War Memorial Clock Tower and Winifred West Park.

On 15 June 2022, Council resolved to exhibit both Conservation Management Plans.

The Mittagong War Memorial Clock Tower CMP sets out the framework for the conservation, repair and maintenance of this historical item. The Draft Mittagong War Memorial Clock Tower CMP includes a statement of significance, being significant at a local level, and outlines conservation policies and maintenance strategies for the site. The maintenance strategies provide guidance to Council by clarifying and formalising existing management practices

The Winifred West Park CMP will guide Council in any future park upgrade plans for a play space and recreational use. The Draft Winifred West Park CMP includes an updated heritage significance for the site’s historic, aesthetic, social and representative values, being significant at a local level.

Public exhibition will run for 4 weeks to Thursday 28 July 2022, before a further report to Council.
