Southern Highlands Destination Plan
Public exhibition of the draft plan concluded on 6 September 2020. Submissions were reviewed and a report prepared for Council consideration on 28 October 2020. You can view the adopted Southern Highlands Destination Plan here.
Council has been developing a combined economic development and tourism strategy to provide a blueprint to achieve the 2031 vision for the Wingecarribee economy over the next 10 years. This involves a whole of destination approach, positioning the Shire as an attractive investment destination - a place to live, work, learn, play and visit.
Your comments are sought on the draft Southern Highlands Destination Plan 2020-2030
There is much to consider. Please take a look at :
- the report considered by Council prior to public exhibition,
- our detailed Background Report which provides essential data considered in developing the Destination Plan, and
- the draft Southern Highlands Destination Plan 2020-2030 outlining the pillars and goals which will support a sustainable economy.

- a one-on-one call with Council’s Economic Development Coordinator - Jan Campbell. Appointments can be made for a 20 minute call back between 9am and 5pm on Mondays and 6-8pm on Wednesdays (ending 26 August). Phone the Southern Highlands Welcome Centre on 4871 2888 to make your appointment.
