Consultation has concluded

The draft Procurement Policy was open for consultation from Tuesday 5 July to Tuesday 2 August 2022.

No submissions were received.

Please view the Council Report post exhibition from 17 August 2022 Ordinary Meeting of Council by clicking here.

The Procurement Policy was adopted by Council on 16 November 2022 and can be viewed on Council's website by clicking here.

On 29 June 2022, Council resolved to exhibit a draft Procurement Policy.

Council’s draft Procurement Policy sets out the strategic direction for ensuring that Council achieves value for money whilst procuring for works and services in an ethical, fair and transparent manner as well as meeting its legislative obligations.

Council’s existing Procurement Policy was adopted by Council in May 2018 and operates with a Centre-led procurement model for overseeing all of Council’s procurement activities. It is anticipated that Centre-led procurement model will continue to operate with the proposed Procurement Policy and introduce additional governance measures to ensure risks are mitigated and value for money is provided whilst staff are procuring.

The introduction of a new Procurement Policy will align Council to meet all current legislation, guidelines and industry references with a focus on additional probity.

On 29 June 2022, Council resolved

THAT the draft Procurement Policy be placed on public exhibition for 28 days.

Have your say by 4.30 pm Tuesday 2 August 2022
