Consultation has concluded

APPLICATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED. Over 60 individual applications were received by WSC but we managed to work through them quickly to determine whether they met the selection criteria. These were then passed onto Southern Phone for them to announce, however they had underestimated the level of interest from over 40 local government areas so will now complete their selection process in January 2015. Stay tuned for further announcements.

Wingecarribee Shire Council is offering community groups the opportunity to apply for funding thanks to a $25,000 dividend recently received from the Southern Phone company.

Council is a shareholder in Southern Phones, which is an unlisted Public Company of which only local councils can be shareholders and whose profits are returned to the community.

So get your thinking caps on and tell all the groups you're a member of to consider applying. They only have 10 days to apply (deadlines set by SP) and then unlike our traditional grants programs, the community will be invited to vote for their preferences online.

Applications for small grants valued between $5,000 and $10,000 are invited. Check out the FAQ, terms and conditions or ask a question. Applications close at midnight on Sunday 30 November 2014.

Successful applicants will be announced before Christmas.
