Your comments are sought during a public exhibition of the draft Lackey Park Regional Sporting Hub Concept Masterplan.
Council has been working with local groups to develop a masterplan which details a shared long-term vision to turn Lackey Park in Moss Vale into a dedicated multi-discipline sporting precinct.
The vision for Lackey Park is to provide:
- a local sporting hub that has facilities which will attract regional, state and national level sporting events,
- a home ground to several sports clubs, and
- competition and/or practice facilities for others.
The masterplan outlines how the site could accommodate a variety of sports including rugby league, cricket and gymnastics. It also allows for possible future synergies with the adjacent Southern Highlands Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hub project proposed by the Moss Vale and District Basketball Association.
Take a look at the Document Library to see how Council proposes to:
- transform the current under-utilised field into a multi-purpose complex that will accommodate multiple rugby league fields, a junior and senior cricket pitch and ancillary training facilities.
- include the construction of a purpose-built grandstand, viewing mounds, formalised parking, gymnasium hall, clubhouse, change rooms, canteen, storage area, walking track, exercise stations and playground.
Did we get it right?
