- 2019/20 Bushfire Recovery
On 14 August 2019 Council resolved to proceed with a Planning Proposal to amend the Wingecarribee Local Environmental Plan (WLEP) 2010 by adding land at 102-104 Old Wingello Road, Bundanoon, (Lot 32 DP 1205423) as a new heritage item and increasing the applicable minimum lot size controls. The intent of the proposed change to WLEP 2010 is to recognise the heritage significance of the property known as ‘Rochester Park’ by adding it to the list of heritage items in Schedule 5 of the WLEP 2010 and to prevent further subdivision of the site by increasing the minimum lot size from 700m2 to 1 hectare.
On 17 September 2020 the NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment issued a Gateway Determination to progress the Planning Proposal to public exhibition. The Planning Proposal was exhibited in October and November 2020 but following discovery of an omission from the exhibited version of the Planning Proposal, it is being re-exhibited in accordance with the Gateway requirements and submissions are again sought from the community.
EXHIBITION DATES: The Planning Proposal is on public re-exhibition for a period of 41 days (excluding the Christmas and New Year holiday period) from Wednesday 18 November 2020 to Wednesday 20 January 2021, inclusive.

A hard copy of the documents can also be viewed at Council’s Customer Service Counter, Civic Centre, 68 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale NSW 2577, between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday during the exhibition period (except during the holiday shut down period from midday 24 December to 9am on 4 January 2021).
MAKE A SUBMISSION: Written submissions to the Planning Proposal may be completed online by clicking on the Submission tab and selecting the "Re-Exhibition of Rochester Park Planning Proposal" submission form. Submissions may also be emailed to email@example.com, posted to Wingecarribee Shire Council, PO Box 141, Moss Vale NSW 2577, or hand delivered to the Customer Service Centre, Civic Centre, 68 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale, during business hours. All submissions previously received will be regarded as a submission to this exhibition. However, persons who made a submission to the previous public exhibition are welcome to re-submit a submission or lodge a new submission to this exhibition.
Only written submissions can be considered and, although they may be viewed by a third party, they are redacted beforehand (i.e. all identifying features removed).
All submissions must be received by Council before 4.30pm on Wednesday 20 January 2021 and quote file reference 5901/69.
It is noted that Wingecarribee Shire Council is not authorised to exercise the functions of the Minister for Planning under section 3.36 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 with regard to this Planning Proposal.
