Wingecarribee Shire Council recognises the importance of playspaces in supporting children’s healthy development.

Our Playspace Strategy is used to provide an overall framework for the consistent management and maintenance of play areas including providing general development standard guidelines, identifying appropriate levels of service for each type of playspace category and setting the proposed capital, renewal and disposal programs for our existing 48 playspace sites. The Playspace Strategy can be viewed in the document library.

Check out what's been achieved or is planned since the strategy was adopted:

  • Berrima Marketplace All Abilities Playground Upgrade – now open!
  • Seymour Park All Abilities Playspace – to be constructed Feb – April 2021
  • Cook Street Park Playspace, Mittagong – to be constructed 2021/22
  • Church Road Oval Playspace, Moss Vale – to be constructed 2021/22
