We seek your thoughts on the proposal to develop the former Mittagong Bowling Club as a Regional Art Gallery and invite you to have your say about the proposal in this online discussion forum.

Council has resolved to consult the community seeking feedback on the proposal to support in principle the development of the former Mittagong Bowling Club and the precinct as a Regional Art Gallery.
The principle initial function of a new Southern Highlands Regional Art Gallery could be to present an annual program of high quality touring exhibitions and associated education programs.
The proposal documents include a site plan with images of some possible approaches to developing the building, a checklist for planning a regional gallery and some examples of exhibitions that tour regional galleries.
The proposal documents will be on public exhibition at the Council's Customer Service Centre in the Civic Centre Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday (public holidays and Christmas closure excluded) and at Council Libraries from 22 December 2010 to 28 February 2011. HOW TO MAKE A SUBMISSION/COMMENT You are invited to inspect the proposal documents and to comment in regard to:
· the need for a Regional Art Gallery in the Shire
· the development of the former Mittagong Bowling Club and precinct as a Regional Art Gallery
· any other matters relating to the proposal.
Submissions/comments can be made through the online forum or by mail or email quoting the file no 6606/3 and must be received at Council by 4.30pm 28 February 2011.
