Renwick Community Centre

The suburb of Renwick has steadily grown and taken shape over the last couple of years and it was exciting to recently hear from UrbanGrowth NSW that the development application for the Renwick Community Centre would soon be lodged.

This important facility will become a central hub for residents and we are working with our planning team to ensure that you are offered an opportunity to view the architect’s vision and provide feedback on the design when it is publicly exhibited.

Once built the Community Centre will become a Council owned facility and therefore require a management plan to ensure that its use and ongoing maintenance is administered correctly. We will be seeking community involvement in the development of this plan.

We look forward to working with you to ensure the Renwick Community Centre becomes a well-loved and regularly used facility.

My family loves living in Renwick. We have so many wonderful neighbours, and its a very quiet place. I would say that we would like safer and more practical access to Mittagong from Renwick by foot or bike because we are very active, and we find choosing a route into town problematic. The bike path in Renwick leads to a crossing at the Old Hume Highway which goes... nowhere. Riding into town along Bong Bong Road is not an option because it is a busy road, and not safe for kids. Our hope is that the road crossing can be connected by bridge to the bike path along the golf course, so that we can ride to school safely.

EXAMPLE: I love living in Renwick. We moved here 2 months ago because of the rural outlook and facilities that the suburb will offer when it is completed. We are looking forward to meeting other families and neighbours.
