Renwick Community Centre

The suburb of Renwick has steadily grown and taken shape over the last couple of years and it was exciting to recently hear from Landcom that the Renwick Community Centre would soon be completed.

Once built the Community Centre will become a Council owned facility. Council will seek input from the community on the future use and management of the Centre towards the end of 2020.

The facility is expected to be open to the public in the later part of 2020 or early 2021 depending on construction timelines.

My family loves living in Renwick. We have so many wonderful neighbours, and its a very quiet place. I would say that we would like safer and more practical access to Mittagong from Renwick by foot or bike because we are very active, and we find choosing a route into town problematic. The bike path in Renwick leads to a crossing at the Old Hume Highway which goes... nowhere. Riding into town along Bong Bong Road is not an option because it is a busy road, and not safe for kids. Our hope is that the road crossing can be connected by bridge to the bike path along the golf course, so that we can ride to school safely.

EXAMPLE: I love living in Renwick. We moved here 2 months ago because of the rural outlook and facilities that the suburb will offer when it is completed. We are looking forward to meeting other families and neighbours.
