We need your views on loosGender neutral toilet sign

Earlier this year we engaged a consultant to talk with people using our public toilets, review our network and develop a Public Toilet Strategy.

We're asking the wider community to review the draft strategy and share their thoughts by 2 August 2017.

The Public Toilet Strategy will provide guidance to Council on the future provision, development and maintenance of public toilets as well as levels of service and financial sustainability.

The draft strategy has been developed by analysing the current provision of public toilets and future population growth needs before determining appropriate levels of service for the provision, development and maintenance of our public toilet network.

Take a look at the draft Public Toilet Strategy to see what guidelines are recommended for:

  • number, location, accessibility, size and type of public toilet to be provided;
  • facility and asset standards which will drive new and renewal capital programs, depreciation schedules and developer guidelines; and
  • the level of service to which public toilet facilities should be maintained and operated

Share your thoughts!

Take a look at the draft document online, at our libraries or in the Civic Centre and let us know what you think about it. There are a number of ways to share your thoughts by 2 August 2017:

For further information contact Rachel Forte (Senior Asset Officer - Buildings) on 4868 0893 or Kylie Stefaniuk (Assets Admin Support) on 4868 0889 (Tue-Wed).
