The public exhibition period concluded on 2 April 2018.

Draft Urban Tree Policy on public exhibition

Council is currently exhibiting a draft Urban Tree Policy which describes the value of urban trees and as assets to the community how they will be protected, maintained and managed. The provisions of the policy are applicable to all Council controlled trees located on urban roads, streets and across the public open space network within towns and villages, but not including bushland reserves.

The Urban Tree Policy is the overarching document for the consolidation of various plans relating to tree protection, management, connectivity and sustainability. These documents include:

    Wingecarribee Shire Council formally adopted the Urban Tree Policy on Wednesday 23 May 2018.

    20 submissions had been received and these were addressed in the associated report to Council.

    Council will consider adopting the final Urban Tree Policy on Wednesday 23 May 2018.

    The associated report and final version of the policy can be viewed from 5pm on Friday 18 May 2018 at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/council-meeting-agendas-minutes.
