Recreational Walking Tracks Strategy

Walking Tracks are an important recreational facility in the Wingecarribee Shire, contributing to the Community's Vision:

A healthy and productive community, learning and living in harmony, proud of our heritage and nurturing our environment.




Council is working with Tredwell to prepare a Recreational Walking Tracks Strategy to develop a framework surrounding the identification, maintenance and enhancement of authorised walking tracks and trail networks.

The Strategy seeks to identify a cohesive track network that offers active and challenging recreational experiences, encompassing Wingecarribee Shire’s diverse and distinctive landscapes.

The project scope includes recreational walking tracks on Council owned or managed land within the Wingecarribee Shire.

Community members are invited to contribute to the development of the Strategy via:

Walking Tracks Strategy - Mapping Tool

This Mapping Tool aims to obtain location-specific information about the community's perceptions relating to walking tracks on Council-managed land within the Wingecarribee Shire.   

The findings from this tool will inform the development of the Recreational Walking Tracks Strategy.

Please feel free to add photos to the map to support your comments. 

This tool will be available until Monday the 11th of May 2020.
