Asphalting on the Old Hume Highway

Following the Christmas break works are now resuming on this project.

As part of the remaining works, Council’s nominated contractor will be undertaking night works from January 10 to January 12 to complete the asphalting on the Old Hume Highway. These works will happen between the hours of 6pm and 5am, and are in addition to day works.

Traffic flow will be maintained throughout the operation by traffic controllers. As with the night works previously conducted by John Holland Rail, there will heavy machinery, truck movements, some generators and bright lights on site which may affect nearby residents. We apologise for this unavoidable aspect of the works.

Works to follow these night works will be signage installation, commissioning of the traffic signals, line marking, and landscaping.
