Council is preparing a Masterplan for Casburn Park.

It is time to plan for a smarter, accessible, fun and engaging Casburn Park for all to enjoy!

Wingecarribee Shire Council has engaged a specialist consultant to prepare a masterplan for Casburn Park. We recently held Park Talks and sought ideas which are now being taken into account during preparation of a draft masterplan.

We have also undertaken a geographic survey of the site and the next step will be to hear what the community and stakeholders think of the draft masterplan when it is publicly exhibited toward the end of 2020.

For further information use the Ask a Question tool or contact Reza Ahmed (Assets Team) on (02) 4868 0888.

    On 10 October 2020, Council representatives and specialist consultants met with key stakeholders and community members. The objective of the event was to gain knowledge and understand the needs of the stakeholders/community to help shape the Casburn Park Masterplan.

    The event was very productive, with three options being presented to generate discussion and ideas.

    Some key themes included;

    • Safer streets and neighbourhood;
    • Better parking facilities and public transport access;
    • Better play equipment that responds to various age groups; and
    • Better park facilities and accessible amenities including public toilet.

    The specialist consultant will review all feedback and develop a Draft Casburn Park Masterplan to be placed on public exhibition toward the end of the year.
