Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking feedback on the draft Neighbourhood Noise Policy.

The draft Policy covers common neighbourhood noise issues such as dogs, air conditioners, pumps, roosters, trail bikes on private properties, and musical instruments. Most common neighbourhood noise issues are regulated by the Protection of the Environment Operations (Noise Control) Regulation or other legislation.

The draft Policy provides information on how Council manages noise complaints and how decisions on regulatory actions are made. The draft Policy aims to provide a consistent approach to managing noise issues.

The draft Neighbourhood Noise Policy is on public exhibition from 5 September 2018 to 5 October 2018.

    At the 14 November 2018 meeting of Council the Neighbourhood Noise Policy was adopted.
