Consultation will commence shortly

Hello Bowral, it's time to have a chat about the future of your town centre!

The Bowral Town Centre (town centre) consists of a diverse mix of retail, residential, commercial, cultural and recreational areas, contributing to an active and vibrant centre experience.

Let's chat about how the town centre can better serve its residents and visitors.

What we want to achieve?

Council is working with the urban design firm, Studio GL, to create a Master Plan for the Bowral Town Centre. Council is committed to developing a Master Plan for Bowral Town Centre that will provide a clear strategic direction for the town centre and ensure that the vision is reflective of the unique identity and function of Bowral.

What is a Master Plan?

A master plan is a dynamic long-term plan that provides a vision and framework for how an area can grow and develop. Master planning is about making the connection between buildings, social settings, and their surrounding environments.

It aims to celebrate what we love about Bowral, enhance what could be made even better, and create new opportunities that work towards the long-term vision.

It outlines where our community wants to be in the future, how we will get there, who will be involved, and milestones that will help us know when we have arrived at our community's vision.

The Bowral Town Centre Master Plan will directly inform the review of Council's planning framework and will also assist in the prioritisation of infrastructure upgrades.

Now is the time to get involved!

You can participate in shaping Bowral Town Centre's future by helping us now.
