  • Amendments to proposed Lease of Aboriginal Community Cultural Centre

    Wingecarribee Shire Council hereby gives notice of its intention to amend the proposed Lease to Illawarra Local Aboriginal Land Council (ABN 83 448 059 128) over the premises known as the Wingecarribee Aboriginal Community Cultural Centre at Rainbow Street, Mittagong(Lot 33 in DP 9299).

    The Lease has been amended to include additional clause 27 “Employment Opportunities” and clause 28 “Establishment of Advisory Group”.

    Visit the document library to view the associated report to Council and draft Lease. Printed copies of these documents can also be read at all Council libraries and the Civic Centre in Moss Vale.

    NOTE: If any objection is raised during the public exhibition period a final report will be taken back to Council for determination. But if no objection is received during the public exhibition period, the General Manager and Mayor have been delegated authority to execute the 99 year Lease to Illawarra Local Aboriginal Land Council for the Aboriginal Community Cultural Centre at 1A Rainbow Street, Mittagong under the Common Seal of Council.

  • Proposed Licence Agreement - Community Garden - Part 9 Cook Street, Mittagong

    In accordance with Sections 46 & 47 of the Local Government Act 1993, Wingecarribee Shire Council hereby gives notice of its intention to consider granting a five (5) year Licence to Challenge Southern Highlands Inc to use approximately 600m2 of Council Community land being part Public Recreation Area at 9 Cook Street, Mittagong (part Lot 2 in DP1208463).

    Challenge Southern Highlands approached Council with a view to establishing a community garden in the Public Reserve at 9 Cook Street, Mittagong. Challenge SH proposes to establish a community garden and to build a small shed/storage area for garden equipment and to also connect to water supply.
